Frequently Asked Questions How do we get to Sunrise Beach Inn? The easiest way to get to Sunrise Beach Inn is to take a taxi from the ferry boat landing (either from the The Jet Express or the The Miller ferry). We are located on Eastpoint, on the right hand-side after the Lakeview driveway. Our recommended taxi service is J.D's "Blue" Cab. You can contact them at 419-285-2544. It is only $3 per passenger to go anywhere on the island. What about renting a golf cart? After you check in, you can take a taxi back to town and get dropped off anywhere downtown, or you can walk downtown. There are numerous places you can rent a golf cart from, and having a golf cart is a great way to get around the island. You can also rent bicycles from many places. Can we drink the water? Yes, the tap water is safe to drink. However, if you are accustomed to bottled water, you can purchase it at the grocery store or bring some with you. Is there a grill we can use? Yes, but you are required to bring your own charcoal and other grilling supplies. Is there a DVD player? No. There is a television in the rental unit, and you are welcome to bring your own DVD player and cables to hook it up. Do we need to bring our own towels? No, towels and washcloths are provided. What is the maximum number of people who can stay at Sunrise Beach Inn? The maximum number of people who can stay at Sunrise Beach Inn is SIX. We do not have room for more than six people. If we are a couple and just the two of us want to rent Sunrise Beach Inn, will other guests be staying at the same time? No, whatever time period you rent the unit for, it’s all yours! Is there a grocery store on the island? Yes, there is one grocery on the island. While small, it does stock most necessities. Can I buy beer or liquor from a store on the island?
